I'm training for a marathon right now so I bought a pair of these around the end of June at a running store along with my usual shoe (Asics), then repeated the purchase on Amazon in September in anticipation for a 21-mile run. These are the first Mizunos I've ever purchased, so I'm not sure if they are just not meant for lots of mileage, or perhaps I'm a baby. I noticed with both pairs around the 150-200 mile mark my back and legs started hurting (that's an indication that the shoes are blown). I generally switch shoes out when that happens. It all depends on the brand, but this is the first company I've noticed such low mileage for cushion failure. I still have a pair of Asics that I'm using now that this second pair of Mizunos are shot. Oddly, I'm still going to buy another pair of Mizunos for race day because they are hands down the most comfortable shoe I've worn in years, and when they are not shot, I have no pain or soreness anywhere. It really does feel like you're running on clouds. In June I had a sharp pain in my foot below my great toe--probably a Sesamoid injury. This occurred while running in Asics on a long run. The Mizuno's were ideal for healing because the cushioning was perfect up by the ball of the foot and was just more gentle overall. I felt that they were pretty true to size, and I have not experienced what some of the other reviewers are saying (sole or shoe disintegration/breakage). I wish for the price point they would tolerate more mileage. I'm not a heavy person 5'4" and 120lbs.I love these. My feet only seem to like Mizuno's. I have tried other cuter and more aggressive trail type running shoes and keep coming back to the Waves. These are so soft. I feel like I'm running on lil pillows. Another review mentioned that these shoes can get warm and I agree 100%. I live in Texas and like living on the sun, the road and all else gets extremely hot. Wearing my thinnest wool socks actually helped dissipate the heat. Fall is here now and these shoes feel like a dream come true. With any running shoe, the only way to know is to try them on and see how your foot reacts. Though I am scientifically interested in the zero drop theory, my feet certainly are not on board with that trend. I returned no less than 7 pairs of shoes in my search. These were the winner for this runner. This is my second time buying these shoes off Amazon and the second time the rubber has detached on the sides. I fell in love with these shoes while working in a running store and was thrilled when I saw them on sale here. My last pair lasted a little longer but the rubber on the sole on the outside of the shoes on this pair lasted 6 weeks before it started pulling up. So disappointing for such a comfy shoe! And so disappointing that I can’t return them/contact the seller. I wear them to work 5 days a week and I am on my feet quite a bit. These are nice looking, comfortable shoes. However the first pair I received had a dirty bandaid and gauze ( gross) - inside the shoe and also the insole was blood or sweat stained. I found this very disturbing- here I touched this thinking it was a piece of paper stuck in the toe of the shoe. It was a bio hazard ! When I called Amazon they were very apologetic and immediately sent out a BRAND NEW pair at half price. As far as the shoes go, they fit well- had to go up 1/2 size and got a wide width to accommodate my problem feet and orthotics, but overall am happy with them.I lime the shoe, it is comfortable and light weight and nice for running however, the soles become slippery very easily and case my feet to slip so much so that I fell from my foot sliding out from underneath me. The running path was damp and does tend to be slippery when wet but that was the first time that I fell. I am unsure how much of it was the shoe and how much of it was carelessness on my part but I did feel like the sole of the shoe was partly to blame. I will think twice before wearing those shoes on that path again and they may just be my indoor shoes.GoodSlightly narrow in the toe box and the height of the mid foot seems low. If I lace them in a non-traditional way they work.I liked them but they are definitely too small. Couldn’t return because I wore them too many times thinking they may “stretch out”. I got a nine but probably needed a 9.5 or 10.Years ago, I was sold by Asics when I was running long distances like marathons, and I switched for Mizuno last couple of years. I needed to change my old Wave Sky (first generation, didn't try the 2nd) and I hesitated to go back with Asics or stay with Mizonu which I was not convinced. I'm so glad I still tryed them. Really like the new technology! Better absoption. Better energy return. Really stable. Very comfortable. Excellent product evolution in my opinion. The size fit right like my old one. Plus, the look is different from the running shoes that we usually see. Like it or not, but I Do!Love these shoes - like running on air. I have wide feet and they were snug in the front, but loosening the laces fixed that.Delivery was quick, but I was not pleased that the Amazon courier left the package in the lobby of my high rise (no doorman). I would much rather they had taken the package to a pick up location than just leave the package sitting outside unattended in the lobby of a large downtown tower. These are the least durable shoe I have ever owned. I ordered these before Christmas but didn’t actually start wearing them until mid February (approximately 4 hours/week at the gym) and they didn’t even last a month before the soles started coming apart (see pic).Great shoe. Light weight and supportive cushion but fits way too small. Normally a 6.5/7 and can barely get the 7 on.This shoe is very comfortable, especially for pavement running. They fit true to running shoe sizes (get a half or 1 size up compared to your regular shoe size). This is my second pair of this shoe and I would keep buying it!
